What You Will Do
Settlements Data Analysis and Investigation
- Retrieve settlement data, and conduct analysis & investigations for discrepancies.
- Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations to ensure settlement and invoicing accuracy.
- Collaborate with the Data & IT team to establish and maintain automated data retrieval processes.
- Assist in deploying production and non-production environments with the Data & IT team.
- Operate and maintain internal tools for accurate and timely reporting.
- Verify and update charge components for various transactions with the trading team.
- Define internal reporting requirements, structure, and procedures with different teams.
- Apply analytical skills to investigate system and business issues, and deliver solutions.
- Conduct ad hoc data analysis, interpret, and communicate business insights.
- Assess and mitigate financial risks associated with settlements and transactions.
- Implement checks and controls to maintain data accuracy and integrity in settlement processes.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of settlement activities to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Accounting, Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Manage accounts receivable and payable transactions, including analysis, collections monitoring, payment processing, and receipt handling.
- Ensure accurate bookkeeping by maintaining the general ledgers.
- Prepare financial statements, and associated schedules, and analyze specific accounts or transactions as needed, including quarterly and annual reporting.
What You Will Bring:
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong quantitative skills and demonstrated ability in analytical problem-solving.
- Attention to detail and accountability in analytical assessments.
- Understanding of financial and accounting principles.
- Familiarity working with databases (SQL), and programming (VBA and Phyton).
- Excel knowledge, including data summarization via FX formulas, Pivot tables, Power Pivot, VLOOKUP, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing across all levels of management.
- Preference for working within a respectful, collaborative work environment.
- Self-motivated and driven individual with a track record of reliability and consistency.
Preferred Qualifications/Skills:
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in financial planning, accounting, or analysis.
- Experience with QuickBooks.
- Strong database development skills.
