Job Description:
As we continue to grow as a company we are looking to add to our dynamic People and Culture team. We are looking for a Senior HR Administrator who will be an important addition to our team, with responsibility for keeping all things administration running effectively and optimally. You will be responsible for US and Canadian benefits administration, ensuring our files are accurate and updated, various scheduling responsibilities, as well as onboarding and offboarding of employees. In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring our office spaces and events run smoothly in collaboration with our tech services and facilities team.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for benefits administration for Canadian and U.S. employees.
- Leading and improving the onboarding and offboarding processes for employees, ensuring all documentation and information is accurate and complete.
- Managing the documentation and system changes for employee changes.
- Ensure that new, current and archived employee files are complete, accurate and compliant; conducting regular, periodic audits of our HR files to ensure that they are.
- Managing the employee service recognition program.
- Supporting the HR team with various scheduling needs including, but not limited to interviews, performance reviews, and onboarding and other training dates.
- Supporting the Toronto and Cambridge teams with facilities management and events, ensuring that food is ordered for events and in-office snacks, workspaces are well stocked with supplies, and liaising with facilities vendors to ensure a clean, healthy and productive office environment.
- Assists with reporting requests and the implementation of services, policies, projects and programs
- Preparing various documents, including employment verification letters.
- Responding to, and assisting with additional ad hoc responsibilities as needed
Requirements and Skills:
- 5+ years of Human Resources Administration experience.
- Previous experience acting as a benefits administrator for a company with 150+ employees, with multiple benefits plans.
- Previous experience with ADP HRIS system would be considered an asset.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
- Superior organization and attention to detail. If your closet is colour-coded, we want to talk to you.
- Problem-solving skills and a self-starter.
- Flexible and adaptable, with a “roll up your sleeves” attitude.
- Ability to prioritize and negotiate deadlines as needed.
- Somebody who takes pride and ownership in their work.
