Description
We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in North York. The selected candidate will be integral to our team, providing comprehensive bookkeeping services. This role entails managing various accounting functions including payroll, bank reconciliations, and handling government remittances.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing regular bookkeeping tasks
- Managing payroll for staff members including remittance to government
- Conducting accurate book entries to the correct accounts
- Managing Trux account and bank reconciliations
- Handling all government remittances, including collection and reimbursement for HST
- Supervising accounts payable, ensuring accurate booking of entries
- Overseeing accounts receivable, with an average of 35-40 per event and 4 events per year
- Coordinating bi-weekly payroll and processing the pay
- Managing year-end paperwork up to audit with external audits
- Managing inventory through a spreadsheet for break open tickets
- Utilizing various software systems including ADP - Financial Services, Great Plains (GPAC), and Microsoft Excel.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
- Proficient in Accounting Software Systems.
- Familiarity with ADP - Financial Services.
- Experience with Computerized Accounting System.
- Proficiency in Great Plains (GPAC) software.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions.
- Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).
- Ability to prepare and manage an Annual Budget.
- Proficient in Cash Flow Analysis.
- Basic knowledge of Bookkeeping.
- Experience in Bookkeeping Functions.
- Familiarity with Computerized Bookkeeping System.
- Must have experience in Full Charge Bookkeeping.
