Summary
The Accounting Assistant supports the business by recording the daily sales transactions for all offices within the Group of Practices. In addition, this position will provide support and assistance with monthly bank reconciliations, accounts payables, accounts receivables, payroll processing and the maintaining of appropriate financial documentation through an organized system of filing.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter daily sales transactions into accounting software
- Process semi-monthly payroll
- Assist with Accounts Payable
- Maintain an organized filing system for all appropriate documents
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Qualification (Education, Skills and Experience)
-Post secondary degree/diploma in accounting or equivalent experience
- Experience in running SAGE50, Excel and Microsoft Word

Knowledge of Ceridian and Dayforce preferred
- 2 Years of bookkeeping or payroll experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Possess excellent English verbal and written skills

Location:
- Position is based in Campbell River with some ability to work remotely once training is completed.
In office required from time to time.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $22.50-$26.50 per hour
