Manga Hotel Group is a privately held Canadian company involved in the acquisition, development and management of real estate with a focus on high quality hotels affiliated with prestigious brands such as Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and InterContinental Hotel Group. Currently, Manga Hotels owns and operates 31 hotels with over 5800 rooms across Canada and in the United States, 18 food and beverage outlets and 5 residential properties with a number of new properties and developments in the pipeline.
We are looking for:
A Senior Corporate Accountant who is experienced in day-to-day full-cycle hotel accounting functions. This position will be responsible for:
- Overseeing and performing full-cycle accounting functions for multiple properties.
- Assisting other corporate accountants in monitoring internal controls at the hotels.
- Assisting in preparing budgets.
- Working closely with Hotel GMs/Accountants in day-to-day accounting tasks.
- Leading or supporting special projects and preparing ad hoc financial reports as required.
- Training and mentoring junior accounting staff.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
- CPA designation is a plus but not required.
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Director of Finance, Financial Controller, or Assistant Financial Controller position at a mid to large hotel.
- Experience in hotel property management systems such as Opera, Fosse, OnQ, or PEP.
- Experience in financial statement preparation and GL reconciliations.
