We are currently seeking a Sr. Staff Accountant to join our US/Cdn Tax practice. We are looking for an individual who is committed to a career in US and Canadian taxation and has the desire to learn and grow within our firm. The home office for this role will be based out of our Essex, Ontario office. This is an in office position.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare working papers with definitive conclusions.
- Prepare various compliance related financial reports.
- Assist with planning on cross-border structures and compliance.
- Assist with project management support on US Personal and Corporate Tax projects.
- Research and interpret tax legislation, formulate solutions, and provide recommendations.
- Prepare personal and corporate tax returns with associated federal and state filings.
- Report significant findings to the US Tax Principal, liaising with Assurance department when necessary.
- Correspond with the IRS, state authorities and CRA on various issues.
- Assist others in the office of the Firm as required.
A successful Candidate will have:
- Accounting diploma or degree in relevant field.
- Public accounting or tax experience is an asset.
- Experience working with accounting and tax software
- Experience working with US and cross border Canadian tax would be an asset
