Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and supporting the overall accounting functions of the organization. This role is essential for ensuring that financial transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing accounts receivable and accounts payable processes.
- Perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Support payroll processing and maintain payroll records.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online for data entry and reporting.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies and resolve issues.
- Prepare financial reports as needed to support management decisions.
- Maintain organized financial documents and files for easy access.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a clerk or in a similar bookkeeping role is preferred.
- Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processes.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports accurately.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High level of integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
