We are currently seeking an Sr. Accountant for one of our four offices in Owen Sound, Meaford, Walkerton or Collingwood, reporting to the firm’s partners. Wage: $65,000 - $90,000 (Some flexibility based on the level of experience)

Responsibilities for this position include:
· Compilation and review of client information and working paper file preparation
· Year-end planning for various clients
· Supervising engagements and related tax filings within a paperless office environment
· Completion of assurance engagements with teams of 1 – 4 team members
· Identifying and resolving engagement issues
· Training and mentoring junior staff on engagements
· Preparation of complex Compilation and Review Engagement reports
· Ensuring the clients’ satisfaction with the firm’s services
· Providing timely, high quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations
· Identifying and cultivating new service or tax planning opportunities for clients
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:
● A college or university degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
● A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in public accounting or a similar finance role
● CPA designation or in progress would be considered a strong asset
● Experience managing large engagements
● Tech savvy; proven technical skills in accounting
● In-depth working knowledge of accounting and tax
● Sound working knowledge of accounting principles
● Advanced accounting, tax, and software knowledge, i.e.: Tax Prep, CaseWare, QBO and Xero
● Advanced working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

● Candidates must be flexible to work overtime during peak business periods – any overtime worked will be paid or recorded as in-lieu time to be taken at a later date
