After an interview and review, we will offer those who qualify a position for a role as a Book Keeper
Responsibilities
- Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
- Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
- Create and update records and databases with personnel, financial and other data
- Track stocks of supplies and place orders when necessary
- Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
- Check packing slips and complete posting of all receivable invoices issued to customers
- Process and check all payable invoices with PO's and perform weekly cheque/EFT runs.
- Process payroll weekly including payroll remittances, deductions, and benefits maintenance
- Process monthly Sales tax, WSIB, payroll and corporate tax remittances
- Process direct deposits and maintain bank reconciliation
- Maintain monthly receivable/payable invoices and reports to meet deadlines
- Assist with monthly journal entries and financial statement preparation
- Manage phone calls and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)
- Manage agendas/appointments etc. for the upper management
- Help supervise staff and divide responsibilities to ensure performance
- Assist colleagues whenever necessary
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software including Quickbooks (ERP etc.)
- Qualifications or experince in secretarial studies will be an advantage
