As part of our growing team, you will join a dynamic environment where innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction are key values. We are currently seeking a Bookkeeper with NetSuite experience to support our financial operations and contribute to our continued success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
- Use NetSuite to record financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate reports
- Process and reconcile monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements
- Ensure accurate and timely filing of financial records in accordance with GAAP
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes
- Prepare and issue customer invoices, monitor overdue accounts, and follow up on collections
- Maintain vendor records and process payments in a timely manner
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning as needed
- Collaborate with external auditors for annual audits
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Identify and implement improvements to the financial processes and workflows within NetSuite
- Oversee payroll system (PayWorks)
- Collect payment, input payment and set up EFTs
- Collect supplier invoices and ensure payment
- Prepare and post year-end adjusting entries
- Match invoices with background paperwork, before sending final invoice to the client
- Assist with different office duties as needed
Administrative Responsibilities
- Answer and direct phone calls with an engaging personality. Customer experience is paramount!
- Open mail, date and distribute
- Assist with customs documentation
- Organize and maintain paper and electronic files
- Maintain annual service contracts
- Ensure accreditation is up to date for insurance, WSIB and Customer Safety Certifications
- Oversee Benefits program
- Order supplies and maintain copiers and printers
Education/Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, with at least 2 years using NetSuite
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in using NetSuite and other accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus
- Experience in the commercial furnishings or manufacturing industry
- Experience with payroll processing and tax compliance
- Business Admin Degree or equivalent
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Exhibits professionalism and problem solving skills
- High attention to detail
- Time Management skills
- Must be proficient in Excel and Google based applications

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
