Our client is looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to join their growing team. Leading a team of accounting and finance professionals, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing key financial functions including accounts payables and expense management for the organization. This is a great role for someone who is looking to expand their accounting leadership experience while driving key processes and efficiencies for the organization.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Effectively manage and mentor the Accounts Payable team, ensuring appropriate training and development within the team.
- Optimize key functions as it relates to accounts payables, accruals, job costing.
- Provide regular reporting and analysis to ensure credit balances are accurate.
- Audit and process expense reports in accordance with internal process.
- Review KPI’s and recommend efficiency improvements
- Oversee and review reconciliations across the organization.
- Assist in the maintenance and development of internal financial controls.
- Partner with stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Key Skills and Qualifications Include:
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in managing large accounting teams.
- Post secondary degree or diploma in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
- CPA designation is an asset but not required.
- Previous experience in managing Accounts Payable in a multi-national setting.
- Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles, and accounting systems.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, with the ability to set and manage priorities for individuals and teams.
- Demonstrated experience in managing dynamic teams.
