As a key player in the financial services marketplace of Northern Ontario we are excited to announce that we are currently seeking a Recovery & Collections Manager.
Reporting to the Senior Manager of Retail Credit and Collections, the Recovery and Collections Manager is accountable for the direction and supervision of the Collections Department including the guidance and mentoring of all field lenders in delinquency and collections management. The Recovery and Collections Manager achieves a balance between supporting a member through difficult times and ensuring no undue loss to the organization. The incumbent is involved in collections and credit policy recommendations ensuring balanced risk and sales objectives are taken into consideration.
Preferred candidates will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting, with 3-5 years of progressive financial industry specializing in consumer and commercial lending.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Bankruptcy and Insolvency legislation, working knowledge of Financial Statements, and strong credit granting skills combined with effective analytical and negotiation skills.
- Strong supervisory background, excellent communication skills and proven experience as a change champion. Experience managing in a unionized environment would be an asset.
- Familiarity and understanding of the “Credit Union & Caisse Populaire Act”.
- Successful candidate must be detail oriented, with a high level of computer literacy in MS Word and Excel.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills are essential to be successful in the position.

Salary Range: $60,800 - $76,000
