## Job Summary
CHAMP ENGINEERING LIMITED is a growing company in the HVAC sector located in the Etobicoke area, currently looking to add an Accountant with a wide range of accounting skillsets to perform a variety of internal accounting, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, tax and CRA tasks with the organization to our team of talented administrative staff. ## Responsibilities
- Accounts Payable- Supervise this function, but will be the backup person
- Invoicing-Supervise this function, but will be the backup person
- Journal Entries- For payments and intercompany transactions
- Bank Reconciliations and Cash Flow Management- Responsible to balance those above noted Journal Entries and reconcile the bank accounts for these companies- balancing credits and debits into the bank accounts, and cash flow management.
- Payroll- Processing the biweekly payroll and paying those Source Deductions to CRA.
- Government filings such as T4, T5018, GST/HST, ROE, EHT, and WSIB
- Throughout the year there will be some projects involving the CRA that will come up for these companies. For example, when Audits occur, you will be responsible for gathering the necessary paperwork from our records and putting together the necessary reporting to satisfy the CRA’s assessment.
- Year End Procedures- Prepare complete set of year-end working papers for corporate Chartered Accountants annually, for all the companies. (Preparing and filing of Corporate income taxes to CRA will be done by external Chartered Accounting Company).
- Human Resources Function including employee file & benefits, employee training and licensing updates
- Health & Safety- Review and Updates to Policy as required, ensure employees are trained
- Apprenticeship Program- Review and update
- Assist with company policy as directed by Owners
- General Misc. duties, with minor office phone calls to answer.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by the Owners
## Qualifications
- University Degree or Higher- required
- CPA is an asset
- Minimum 5 years full cycle financial accounting experience
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and Quick Books
- Working Knowledge of Ontario Employment Standard Acts
- Organized
- Works Well with Deadlines and Budgets
- Has a knowledge of the CRA requirements, rules and inner workings
