Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our team. We are a dynamic full-service marketing agency looking for a full cycle bookkeeper.
The candidate should be energetic and extremely organized, have a complete understanding of the accounting cycle, ability to maintain accounts payable/receivable, general ledgers and able to produce company financial spreadsheets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in accounts, and providing essential support for budgeting and financial analysis. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles.
NOTE: This position requires the selected candidate to be in-office a minimum of 2 days per week. This is a mandatory requirement.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage AP/AR/Invoices/Estimates
- Charge expenses to accounts, reconcile entries
- Perform all HR duties /oversee payroll
- HST & corporate tax remittances
- Maintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
- Balance subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
- Maintain general ledger by transferring subsidiary account summaries & prepare trial balance
- Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends
- Prepare year-end/quarterly/monthly financials
- Identify process improvements and system efficiencies
- Prepare program budgets to establish program profitability
Requirements
- Excellent critical thinking & problem-solving skills
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks) is essential.
- Experience with accounts receivable management and bank reconciliation processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not mandatory; relevant experience will be considered.
- Perfect written and verbal communication skills in English. French an asset!

Pay: $22.00-$48.00 per hour
