Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of HR operational support experience
- Post secondary education in Human Resources
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), with an emphasis on Excel
- HR experience in manufacturing and or construction
- CHRP Designation
Day in the life:
Your days will start with reviewing emails and prioritizing any urgent tasks that require immediate attention. A big chunk of your day-to-day activities will revolve around employee relations. On an ongoing basis, you will partner with other HR peers from talent, employee database management and total rewards team on various HR initiatives.
On a daily basis, you will interact with various levels of the business unit from field operators to vice-presidents. You will also have the opportunity to participate in interviews as well as performance reviews. Your overarching goal is to ensure all HR procedures and processes are in compliance for your business unit.
You will serve as the first point of contact for employee enquiries with regards to payroll, vacation entitlement, data validation, etc. You will also be supporting the hire and rehire process for hourly employees in the HRIS. You will update systems with all employee data changes ensuring data accuracy and integrity at all times.
You will also assist with preparation of announcements, job postings etc. and onboarding of new hires. You will participate in all HR processes and HR projects as required.
