Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Construction Coordinator and Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently and effectively. This position requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and a solid understanding of construction processes.
Duties
- Assist senior management with proposal writing, project planning and project management
- General administrative duties around office may include document control, invoice submissions, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Manage office communications including phone calls, monitoring of emails, and coordinating communications between clients, subcontractors etc. with Senior Management.
- Assist with collection of daily reports from field teams, LEM's from field teams, safety documentation from field teams and organize for intended usage.
- Communicate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to facilitate project progress.
- Monitor project timelines and budgets, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including contracts and change orders.
- Conflict Management
- Maintain accurate records of project progress and documentation for reporting purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in construction coordination or project management is preferred.
- Experience with payroll, ap, and ar is an asset
- Familiarity with construction terminology, processes, and safety regulations is essential.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
