Chartered Professional Accountant
Tombe Herrington Chartered Professional Accountants LLP is a team of knowledgeable and friendly professionals at a local public accounting firm located in Kamloops and servicing clients throughout BC and Alberta. We are looking for a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) to join our team, for a rewarding career, where the balance between work and personal life is an essential part of our culture. Key responsibilities and duties:
- Prepares and/or reviews engagements for a wide range of clients, such as compilation engagements, audit, reviews and not for profits.
- Prepare and review tax returns for corporate, personal and trust tax engagements.
- Builds client relationships
- Organizes and prioritizes work to be completed.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to the Accounting and Bookkeeping team
- Participates in new business development initiatives including networking and new client meetings.
- Managing engagement budgets, WIP and billings.
- Other related duties as required.
Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Canadian Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE).
- Canadian Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Organizations (ASNPO).
- Canadian Public Sector Accounting Standards (PSAS).
- Canadian Auditing Standards (CASs).
- Technical skills in audit, assurance, and financial reporting.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in accounting technologies such as CaseWare, TaxPrep and Microsoft Office products.
- Highly organized and professional with the ability to manage multiple activities, projects and priorities to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- A Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Minimum of 1 to 3 years post designation work experience in a public accounting environment in Canada.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
