Standard BioTools is looking for a
Payroll Analyst to ensure the timely and accurate processing of the US and Canada payrolls. This will include payroll operations, payroll taxes and maintaining general ledger accounts for all North American employees.
Description:
- Process semi-monthly payrolls using Workday software
- Work directly with ADP and OSV to ensure proper payment applications of payroll and payroll taxes, and to ensure compliance with local jurisdictions
- Continually identify and drive improvements within the payroll processes leveraging the SBI Business System Tools
- Ensure compliance and maintenance of Sarbanes-Oxley controls and prepare are all work in an audit ready form, while mitigating risks on payroll processes
- Coordinate with and support accounting, HR and Legal with equity related compensation and ensure that employee equity related transactions are properly taxed and reported
- Help reconcile payroll and other related general ledger accounts
- Help with payroll systems solutions and enhancements
- Remain current on all new US state and federal government regulations and Canadian regulations involving payroll matters
- Help accounting director and Sr. payroll manager and related teams with all accounting, tax related tasks as needed
- Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Minimum Qualifications:
- College diploma or university degree in business, accounting, finance or related field a plus
- Minimum 2+ years’ experience managing US or Canada payrolls
- Payroll Certification preferred
- Strong system background (Workday, ADP) desired
- Experience working globally and understanding international payroll issues a plus
- Accuracy and attention to detail a must
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable interacting and presenting to all levels of management a plus
