We are looking for a full time Accounts Payable/Administrative Clerk.
Accountabilities:
The candidate will join our Administrative team and work directly with the accounting, purchasing, stores, and engineering groups as well as facilitate general administrative duties to support management and staff members.
Key responsibilities for Accounts Payable are:
- Maintain accounts payable accounting system to track and disburse funds to corporate vendors.
- Timely and accurate month end, quarter end and year end cut-off responsibilities by calculating, capturing all costs, collaborative reviewing and reporting payables position for each accounting period.
- Perform duties of contract administrator for corporate blanket order purchases.
- Validate all invoices received from suppliers are accurate with correct prices, extension and applicable taxes by using corporate procurement software system.
- Ensure all penalties are avoided for major payments of Utilities, Business and Realty taxes, etc. through online payment process.
- Ensure invoices are in compliance with Purchase Order Terms, freight etc. and cash discounts are captured.
- Ensure entries in the procurement software system are maintained for each invoice and close Purchase Orders when completed.
- Notify suppliers when invoices are incorrect and make necessary adjustments.
- Reconcile Visa Statements against Purchase Orders, packing slips, invoices and EFT payment.
- Prepare bi-weekly and month end cheque runs in a timely manner, ensuring accurate payment of invoices.
Key responsibilities for Administrative are:
- Compose various daily KPI reports and distribute to stakeholders.
- Responsible for organizing travel arrangements including accommodations and rentals for company employees and acting as a liason with local hotels for visitor accommodations.
- General administrative duties related to hard copy and electronic documents, distribution and safe storage.
- Assist and organize company functions and meetings.
- Work with confidential documents, draft correspondence, spreadsheets, forms, employee lists, etc..
- Assist visitors and guests on occasion.
Education & Experience:
- 2-year Community College Diploma or equivalent, specializing in areas such as accounts payable/bookkeeping/business/commerce.
- Minimum 3 years related work experience, preferably in a manufacturing sector.
Knowledge & Skills:
- General accounting and bookkeeping background is essential.
- Speed and accuracy of data entry is essential.
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and staying on task.
- Good analytical, planning and multi-task skills.
- Must be able to meet tight deadlines, deliver high quality results and work in a team environment.
- Advanced knowledge of personal computer applications like Outlook, Excel, Word, CMMS (Infor) and Sage 300.

- ArcelorMittal Windsor is a 24/7 facility
- Normal hours of work for this position is “days”, Monday to Friday, with extended hours as required to meet accounting month end deadlines or resulting from periods of peak workload.
