What You’ll Do
As our Bookkeeper, you’ll manage full-cycle bookkeeping and contribute to the smooth operation of our financial and some of our transactional HR processes. You will manage:
- Accounts Receivable: Handle invoices, reconcile payments, and keep accounts in check.
- Accounts Payable: Process expenses and ensure timely, accurate payments.
- Payroll & Benefits: Manage bi-weekly payroll, administer employee benefits, and ensure compliance with government regulations.
- HR Support: Maintain employee records and assist with onboarding.
- Financial Reporting: Reconcile accounts and ensure financial records and transactions abide by regulations. Prepare various financial reports and assist the President by analyzing financial performance and proposing plans to ensure our financial health stays on track.
What You Bring
- Education & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in transportation or logistics.
- Knowledge of financial practices and full-cycle bookkeeping.
- Experience with payroll processing, and transactional HR and benefit best practices are an asset.
- Proficiency in Sage 50 and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Core Competencies:
- High attention to detail and accuracy, excellent time management, and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork.
- Dependable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
