Who We’re Looking For
Are you highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about numbers? We’re searching for a dedicated Bookkeeper to join the Wud team and help manage our day-to-day financial operations. As a key team member, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with regulations.
The Bookkeeper will report directly to the CEO and CFO and work closely with other areas to provide vital financial insights. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys building efficient systems, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and shares our passion for sustainability and innovative products.
What You’ll Be Doing
Financial Management
- Accurately record and maintain day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
- Reconcile bank statements and monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with Canadian accounting standards.
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Collaborate with leadership to prepare budgets and financial forecasts.
- Track and analyze budget variances, offering insights and recommendations for financial efficiency.
Payroll and Tax Compliance
- Manage payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
- File payroll tax and GST/HST returns on time and handle other compliance-related tasks.
Vendor and Supplier Coordination
- Manage vendor and supplier invoices, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping.
- Maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate terms and resolve any issues promptly.
Process Improvement
- Develop and implement efficient systems for tracking and managing financial data.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.

What You’ll Bring
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience; familiarity with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software is a strong asset.
- Education: Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy in financial record-keeping and reporting.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize deadlines, and maintain a systematic approach.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Resourceful and proactive in resolving discrepancies and improving processes.

The role: This is an in-person role.
Location: You will work from our office in Etobicoke.
Compensation: 38,000-42,000 CAD/year
