Position SummaryThe Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for Innisfil Soccer Club. This role involves managing all aspects of the club's day-to-day financial transactions, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations. The Bookkeeper plays a key role in ensuring the financial integrity and sustainability of the club.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Record Keeping
○ Maintain accurate and organized financial records for all club transactions.
○ Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
○ Verify that transactions are recorded correctly in the general ledger.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
○ Process and manage accounts payable, including verifying and processing invoices for payment.
○ Monitor and manage accounts receivable, including invoicing members, sponsors, and partners, and following up on overdue payments.
○ Reconcile accounts payable and receivable balances monthly.
Bank Reconciliation
○ Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
○ Investigate and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Payroll
○ Process payroll for club employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
○ Maintain payroll records and handle related tax and statutory filings.
Financial Reporting
○ Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for the General Manager and Board of Directors.
○ Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial statements as required.
○ Provide financial data and analysis to support decision-making processes.
Compliance
○ Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and club policies.
○ Assist with audits and the preparation of audit documentation.
○ Stay updated on changes in financial regulations and best practices.
General Administrative Duties
○ Assist with other administrative tasks as needed, including maintaining financial documentation and filing systems.
○ Support the Finance Manager or General Manager in any financial projects or tasks as required.
