Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Analyst is responsible for maintaining on time and accurate end-to-end payroll to our unionized and non-unionized employees within our various locations throughout Canada. The ability to work under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment is essential. The Payroll Analyst’s duties include working closely with internal and external partners and run audits whilst providing additional daily support to our stakeholders. Working within our payroll team will also provide new opportunities to bring fresh ideas and insights through various projects which are core to employee engagement and success.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare and process payroll from end to end

Audit payroll processing to ensure accuracy

Address payroll issues

Act as a point of contact for stakeholders

Process monthly accrual

Maintain Elections and Benefits

Champion process improvement, modifications, updates, and enhancement in technology to ensure optimal performance in the delivery of payroll services
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
-
Level of Education: Post Secondary Diploma, PCP Designation (preferred)

Must be bilingual French/English (Mandatory)
-
Technical Skills: Analytical Skill, MS Excel , Reporting, Knowledge of payroll employment standards, hands-on full-cycle payroll experience, unionized payrolls.

Soft Skills: Communication skills (verbal/written), problem solving, attention to detail, confidentiality, team player, strong time management, organizational, rigorous, motivated go-getter.

Experience: Payroll admin experience (3 years), Large Volume payroll experience (3 years), Experience with collective agreements (Preferred), Basic accounting knowledge, Bilingual French/English (Asset), Knowledge of year-end compliance (Preferred), Customer Service.

Additional Knowledge: Knowledge of Ceridian/ Workday
