Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Record daily financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Prepare and process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
- Maintain and update financial databases, ensuring accurate record-keeping.
- Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.
- Support payroll processing and ensure timely payment of salaries and benefits.
- Assist with budget tracking and expenditure monitoring.
- Prepare documentation for audits and tax filing purposes.
- Handle administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and correspondence related to finance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient financial operations.
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices and payments.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Clerk, Bookkeeper, or similar role.
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
- Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
- Excellent communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team.
