SUMMARY OF THE FUNCTION

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounting Technician will support the team in all tasks related to accounting operations. The accounting technician will be in support mode on certain tasks and will have his own projects and analyses to coordinate.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform month-end and year-end activities: accounting and reconciliation of accounts for Canadian, U.S. and a company in th United Kingdom.
Perform various tasks related to the processing of cash, prepaid expenses, accounts receivable and accounts payable mainly.
Perform Canadian and foreign sales tax reports.
Assist the accounts receivable and payable clerks when necessary.
Assist with year-end files.
Prepare banking transactions.
Prepare various month-end reports for government authorities.
