The Associate Finance Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial planning and analysis (FP&A). This person will be responsible for spearheading FP&A practices and procedures while building business cases for national promotions, product launches, pricing strategy and much more. This person is expected to demonstrate strong business acumen, think strategically, challenge the status quo and provide recommendations to deliver growth of the business. There will be a high degree of visibility with senior management who depend heavily on the FP&A group to accurately forecast in-store and E-commerce transactions while leading strategic ad-hoc initiatives. There will be no direct report for this position.
Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)
- Lead business reviews and provide insight to senior management on performance drivers (across various categories and regions), profitability impact and future planning recommendations
- Prepare presentations and gain alignment from senior management on strategic initiatives, as it relates to growing KFC transactions and footprint across the country
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, primarily Marketing, to determine the overall direction of full-year promotional calendar, innovation pipeline and other ad-hoc projects that drive top-line results
- Partner with franchisees to gain insight into sales drivers, thus enabling better business decisions and recommendations for future growth
- Evaluate the competitive landscape in the QSR industry and apply it to KFC, primarily around consumer behaviour, E-commerce and promotional offers
- Provide insight into the performance planning process with a short-term and long-term lens while exhibiting a growth mindset
- Perform in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude when working under pressure
Key Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Finance, or Accounting with a minimum of 5 years of proven financial planning experience or equivalent
- Enthusiastic learner with the ability to thrive in a changing work environment
- Strong leadership and critical thinking skills
- Highly motivated with a strong drive for continuous improvement
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask detailed projects
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Sound business acumen, strategic thinker and analytical skills
- MBA or CPA designation is considered a strong asset
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)

Salary Range: $84,800 to $105,900 CAD annually + bonus eligibility + benefits
