Salary: $90-100,000 + eligible for bonus + RSP + Benefits + 3 weeks vacation

My client is a leading sales and service operation with its head office located in Brampton.
Your new role
As the Accounting Manager you will lead a team of 6 in accounts receivable and accounts payable reporting to the CFO. The Accounting Manager will work with various departments to resolve customer issues. The role will manage and distribute A/P and A/R reporting and raise issues to Senior Management as necessary to avoid excessive aging. You will act as a primary contact with other departments regarding A/P and A/R procedures and their application. The Accounting Manager will evaluate credit terms provided to customers and make recommendations as necessary. The Accounting Manager will establish benchmarks and/or KPI’s to measure individual and departmental performance. The Accounting Manager is responsible to grow, mentor and develop team members: coach regularly, promote responsibility taking, communicate expectations with clarity, share information and strive for efficiency. The role will assist management in completing the annual audit. The Accounting Manager will assume additional accounting responsibilities to support the CFO and work on various additional projects.
What you need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 5+ years experience in an accounting role with 2+ years managing a team including AR and ideally AP team members.
- A completed CPA designation is required.
- Advanced Excel
- You need to be energetic able to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent organizational, time management and decision-making skills to effectively manage deadlines and changing priorities; can multi-task between competing priorities
- Demonstrate analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong, positive communication skills (written and verbal).
