Position Summary:
We are seeking an energetic and reliable professional person to join our dynamic and evolving team as a Bookkeeper.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all aspects of client bookkeeping role are completed and that management teams are provided with information and support to enable the smooth running of the businesses. Responsibilities:
In this role you will be responsible for keeping the financial records of client companies updated, preparing reports and reconciling activity to bank, vendor and customer statements. You will also run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. A successful Bookkeeper should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers.
HOW TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department and our client customers
- Prepare and maintain reports, accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Follow up with clients, vendors and internally to ensure proper resolution of issues and discrepancies
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Help and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
- Other duties and processes as determined by Management.
Qualifications:
- At least two years of experience working as a bookkeeper for a small or medium-sized business, as an accounts payable clerk or other equivalent roles that encompass similar functions
- Experience in a technology services company, MSP, ISP, other professional services, or practice management environment is advantageous
- Experience and good familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software
- Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Excellent listening skills and the ability to ask probing questions, understand concerns, and overcome challenges
- Strong work ethic and self-starter, able to effectively manage multiple priorities and adapt to change within a fast-paced business environment
- Problem solver with a can-do attitude coupled with a strong sense of accountability
- Must possess a professional and friendly attitude and be able to quickly develop a rapport with colleagues, management and vendors
- Ability to learn and navigate new software quickly
- Strong technology skills and management reporting experience would be beneficial
