We are a mid-sized and successful roofing company who has been located in London, Ontario since 1976. We provide complete roofing services for residential, commercial and industrial clients.
We have an opening for a Permanent Part-time Financial Controller starting immediately. The preferred candidate will have a broad knowledge and experience in all facets of business. Experience in a construction setting is beneficial as is a full understanding of Quickbooks Online and a familiarity with ADP payroll processing.
Key Responsibilities of the position:
Financial
· Prepare monthly financial statements for review with the General Manager
· Reconcile all bank and credit card statements
· Monitor A/P and process payments in a timely manner
· Handle banking/insurance issues with the General Manager
· Other duties as requested by General Manager
Payroll
· Process the bi-weekly payroll according to current government regulations
· Maintain and review the Employee Benefit Package along with RRSP/DPSP
Payables
· Liaison with the General Manager and external accountant to make accurate Government Remittances
· Complete Vendor credit applications
· Process payments accurately and on time
Receivables
· Review each invoice to be sent out for accuracy in customer information and correct charges
· Review outstanding accounts and make the necessary calls to the client. When necessary, liaise with the collection agency to receive payment.
· Experience with progressive billing and Stat Decs is beneficial
Qualifications:
College/University degree in Accounting. A designation is preferred but not required
An indepth knowledge of best practices in all areas of accounting
Experience with a computerized accounting system
A minimum of three years of progressive accounting experience-construction industry preferred
