As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly motivated Sr. HR Generalist to join our team, with a focus on recruitment and training across our expanding locations.
Position Overview:
The Sr. HR Generalist will play a crucial role in overseeing the full cycle recruitment process and developing comprehensive training programs for employees across multiple sites. This role will also carry out administrative work involving the human resources functions including attendance management, WSIB, STD and health and safety paperwork. The position provides guidance and advice to employees and responds to a variety of Human Resources related questions. This role will be based in office in Trenton, Ontario, with occasional travel to other facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
· Recruitment & Staffing: Lead the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, screening, interviewing, reference checks and selecting candidates for all positions.
- Develop and maintain a talent pipeline to support the growth of our operations in all locations, including Moncton, NB.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience through timely communication and onboarding.
- Employee Training & Development: Design, implement, and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills, support career growth, and promote safety and compliance.
- Work with department leads to identify training needs and create customized development programs.
- Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness, adjusting programs as necessary to ensure ongoing employee engagement and learning.
- HR Operations & Compliance: Support day-to-day HR operations, including employee relations, performance management, and policy development.
- Ensure all HR activities are compliant with relevant legislation and company policies.
· Provide backup for payroll processing
· Provide support with attendance management, WSIB, STD and health and safety paperwork
- Collaboration & Communication:
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters, including workforce planning, retention strategies, and employee engagement.
- Assist in planning and executing HR initiatives aligned with company objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. CHRP an asset
- 5+ years of experience in HR, with a strong focus on recruitment and employee training.
- Bilingual will be an asset
- Experience in a warehousing or logistics environment is a plus.
- Knowledge of Canadian employment laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- A valid driving license
