As Payroll Administrator, a typical day might include the following:
- Responsible for accurate, timely processing of bi-weekly payroll for salaried and hourly employees
- Manage all employee payroll inquiries
- Monthly bonus/commission processing
- Processing and filing T4, T4A, T5, T5018 and other year-end payroll documents
- Balance respective payrolls based on year-end calendar
- Remit all Third-Party Remittances by defined due dates
- Manage all garnishment orders, EI claims, and government correspondence
- Prepare/issue ROEs as required
- Coordinates timely and accurate enrollment and updates in benefit plans
- Assist with the new hire onboarding process
- Accounts Receivables
- Bank Reconciliations
- Create and implement insightful accounting strategies
- Provide support to the accounting team on various duties as required
- Other duties as assigned
This job might be right for you if:
- A minimum of three years of related experience
- Familiar with CDK and ADP Workforce software
- Previous experience in the automotive dealership environment
- Post-secondary education with a focus on Accounting/Payroll
- Great knowledge of ESA standards
- CPA certification is an asset
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills
- High level of skill with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Ability to work independently, resolve problems and prioritize duties.
- Strong written and oral interpersonal and communication skills.
