Portfolio Payroll is currently hiring a payroll specialist for our client, a well know global tech company. We are currently looking for someone with around 5 years experience within the payroll industry.
Payroll Specialist - 6 month contract
Hybrid Working Model

Key Responsibilities:
- Administer bi-weekly payroll for both salaried and hourly employees using ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
- Review payroll-related remittances, including income tax, CPP, and EI contributions.
- Prepare and maintain employment records on Service Canada.
- Generate T4, T2200, and RL-1 slips for year-end reporting.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed payroll records and documentation, including employee data, earnings, and deductions.
- Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure accuracy in the General Ledger.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Manage all facets of the company's group benefits programs (Health, RRSP, etc.), ensuring employees are well-informed about their benefits.
- Assist employees with questions related to payroll, deductions, benefits, RRSP, direct deposit setup, tax forms, and other payroll matters.
- Collaborate with the People & Culture team to promptly resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in utilizing ADP Workforce Now (WFN).
- Approximately 5 years of payroll experience.
- Extensive expertise in payroll management and employee benefits administration.
- Demonstrates exceptional accuracy and organizational skills.
- Able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
