Mader Group is an Australian based company with a strong Mining background in Heavy Equipment Technicians and trades. We are seeking a Junior Accountant with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude to join our Canada Team!
Position Overview
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for the timely and efficient processing of the following general duties and related but not limited to tasks. This is an office-based role in Calgary with a Monday to Friday schedule 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 p.m. Your performance will be measured by the satisfactory completion of these key areas.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for Accounts Payable tasks around processing of supplier invoices, requesting POs to be raised, reconciling supplier statements to Greentree balances and requesting missing invoices.
- Responsible for managing SAP Concur credit card expenses submissions and following up on any missing information.
- Responsible for reviewing cost allocation from Concur submissions and importing them to GT.
- Responsible for weekly reconciliation of bank accounts.
- Preparation and import of main vendors Purchase Orders, such as accommodation, fuel cards and GPS.
- Responsible for coding and uploading American Express monthly statements.
- Preparation of monthly fixed assets capitalization packages.
- Preparation of journal entries for Senior Analyst’s review.
- Assistance with general ledger reconciliation preparation.
- General month end assistance.
- General end of year audit assistance.
Other
Other general office and accounts duties as directed, including but not limited to assisting with the following:
- Get, open and distribute mail daily.
- Greet all callers and visitors in a friendly, professional manner.
- Other duties and projects as determined by the Operations Manager, Financial Controller, Accounting Lead, Chief Financial Officer, and Executive Director as needed.
