We are currently recruiting for the position of Accounts Payable Administrator at our Accounting Office in Concord, ON.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing multiple tasks in a busy work environment, and a willingness to learn. We are looking for a full-time candidate with a positive can-do attitude who takes pride in their work.
The Accounts Payable Administrator is responsible for reviewing and processing invoices and credits, resolving invoice discrepancies and reconciling statements with a high degree of accuracy in a high-volume environment using a paperless automated accounting system.
QUALIFICATIONS
· 2-3 years of accounts payable work experience in a high-volume environment.
· Multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and calculate, correct, and post entries with strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a high level of integrity and ethics.
· Flexibility to manage increased volume of work when necessary and at year-end.
· Desire to take ownership of tasks assigned and willingness to learn.
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Download invoices from vendor website for automated processing (2000+ per month)
· Process, verify, and reconcile invoices in an automated accounts payable software system following a detailed step by step process for invoice processing.
· Ensure invoices are matched to the correct purchase order including quantity and price considerations.
· Review and communicate with internal departments to resolve issues with invoice discrepancies.
· Answer branch inquiries.
Own transportation preferred as public transportation is 20-25 minutes walking distance.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
