Accounting Clerk – Toronto Office (1 – 2 years experience)
Shibley Righton LLP is seeking an Accounting Clerk to work within their busy Accounting Department.
This position reports to the Controller. The successful candidate will assist in the following:
- Review and process monthly billings
- Post daily general receipts
- Monthly bank G/L reconciliations
- Preparing wire payments. Ordering bank drafts. Bank Runs
- Prepare month end reports
- Various accounting reconciliations.
- Back up to Trust and Payables
- Journal entries, Write-offs and WIP transfers
- Deal with inquires from staff and lawyers
- Filing of accounting records
- Other duties as assigned
You have at least one year of previous accounting experience preferably in a professional services environment. Excellent organizational and communication skills and an eye for detail are a must. Strong computer skills including knowledge of excel is an asset. You are a team player and will work closely with the other clerks in accounting.
