Accountant
The Accountant position will plan, organize, and administer specialized accounting activities associated with maintaining ledger accounts and for developing financial statements and reports. In addition, may provide functional advice or training to less experience accountants.

Performance Expectations
- Prepare all month end reconciliations journal entries with accuracy in a timely manner.
- Prepare and support the financial statements, reconciliations and reports.
- Complete product line income statements and variance analysis.
- Prepare monthly product line income statements and other monthly reports.
- Prepare, evaluate, and assist with monthly accounts payable and receivable aging.
- Provide payroll backup in the absence of payroll clerk.
- Assist with development of standard cost base for all purchased and manufactured components.
- Ensure accuracy of all charges to the fixed asset accounts and comply with company policy.
- Reconcile fixed assets sub ledger to the general ledger monthly.
- Prepare financial summaries such as balance sheets and income statements.
- Interpret graphs of financial variables and evaluate financial data accurately.
- Evaluate the accuracy of financial data
- Maintain a computerized listing of all fixed assets with supporting documents.
- Prepare all fixed asset schedules for year-end audit.
Assist with preparation of annual budget, five-year business plan and a twelve month rolling forecast.
Credentials
- Post-Secondary Degree or Diploma in Accounting, Business or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of previous accounting experience.
- Ability to work in a fully computerized environment.
- Demonstrate working knowledge IFS, SAP BPC.
Demonstrate intermediate Microsoft Excel skills with previous experience using pivot tables, v-lookup and index matching.
Desired Characteristics
Ability to demonstrate communication skills by discussing a variety of accounting and work-related topics with colleagues.
