FINANCE CONTROLLER
ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Z'gamok Enterprises Inc. is searching for a Finance Controller with experience and a proven track record of success within a Mining & Construction environment.
The Finance Controller will play a pivotal role in the financial management, analysis, and reporting for Z'gamok Enterpries and its group of companies, contributing to the company's ongoing success and strategic decision-making.
This position is subject to Z'gamok Enterprises Inc. personnel and administrative policies, relevant client policies and procedures and relevant Laws and Regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interface with related companies to ensure flow of information is sufficient to allow proper record keeping and transactional accounting.
- Developing and coordinating all relationships with lending/financial institutions.
- Developing and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting. Ensuring that records are maintained in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
- Assisting senior management in financial planning and results management. Work with other team members to understand revenue and cost drivers and define appropriate reports for tracking.
- Coordinating, preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Analyzing company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets.
- Providing strategic guidance around capital financing options to support company growth needs.
- Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, cashflow budgets and other forecasts as needed.
- Prepare monthly project reports to review profitability and cost overruns.
- Ensures effective cost assessment and analysis is performed and reported.
- Assist with audit preparation and documentation.
- Other finance and accounting department duties as required.
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- 5-7 years of direct accounting experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
- Candidates with a CPA designation will be preferred.
- Experience with the Sage accounting suite an asset.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of mining/construction industry preferred but not required.
- Expert level of knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
Additional Qualifications that would be considered an asset:
- Experience with Jonas Construction Software
