SENIOR MANAGER, ACCOUNTING (Sussex, New Brunswick)
We are seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting, to join our team in Sussex, New Brunswick. This role, is responsible for managing file preparation and providing advisory services, while building strong relationships with clients to support and enhance their operational efficiency and financial performance.

Key Activities and Responsibilities
- Review assignments including audit, review, compilation, corporate tax, personal tax, estate, bookkeeping and other compliance, tax research and accounting work
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes
- Review tax provisions for clients
- Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to request and suggestions
- Assist in the development and implementation of tax planning strategies for various clients
- Keep up-to-date on the content and practical applications of tax, accounting and assurance standards, and know how to access and research professional and technical materials
- Design and review, processes, procedure and workflow within the department
- Collaborate with managers and other senior managers for capacity and resource planning
Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in public accounting
- Experience working with Caseware/Caseview, Jazzit, Keystone, Excel, Profile
- Advanced Canadian tax knowledge – personal, corporate, excise and/or Advanced knowledge on Canadian GAAPs – ASPE and ASNFPO
- Ability to mentor, coach and develop junior staff
