We are currently seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and hands-on experience with bookkeeping and accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate financial records for clients, including managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Perform bank reconciliations and ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
- Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
- Assist in preparing financial documentation for tax filing and audits.
- Ensure compliance with CRA regulations and reporting deadlines.
- Collaborate with clients to gather necessary financial information and address their inquiries.
- Use accounting software like QuickBooks and Xero to manage client accounts.
Qualifications:
- Education: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of bookkeeping experience in a professional setting.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accounting software.
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and CRA regulations.
- Ability to prepare financial reports and reconcile accounts accurately.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients professionally.
- Knowledge of T1 and T2 tax returns is an asset but not required.
