Position Summary
The Accounting Clerk is responsible for the Invoicing, review and processing of inventory transactions, supplier payments, to keep accounting records up to date and accurate.
Responsibilities
Invoicing / Billing
- Processes customer invoicing in the ERP system.
- Review Accounts Receivable aging report on regular basis.
- Review freight accruals to ensure that freight cost / provision is accurate and present on all invoices.
- Review delivery documents prior to invoicing to ensure that Proof of Delivery has been received and revenue is being recognized in the appropriate period.
- Coordinate the reconciliation of customer-owned inventories with Sales and Operations, ensure invoicing is posted in a timely manner and according to the terms of customer agreement(s).
- Confirm that sufficient inventory is on-hand prior to invoicing, coordinate discrepancy resolution with Operations.
- Liaise with other internal and external stakeholders as needed to resolve issues as they arise.
Other
- Maintains organized records invoices for audit purposes.
- Assists with month-end duties, including report generation, account reconciliations, and accruals.
- Cross-train with other Accounting / Administrative staff and act as backup during periods of absence.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
- College / University Graduate
- Minimum 3 years of related experience.
- Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
- Proficiency in French is an asset.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as a part of a team.
- Attention to detail, monitor and check work or information.
- Problem solving and prioritization.
- Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
