Our client, a leading accounting firm in Eastern Ontario, is looking to add a Senior Bookkeeper to their team in Belleville, ON. Reporting to the Partners of the firm, the Senior Bookkeeper will be responsible for undertaking a diverse range of bookkeeping tasks for our clientele, comprising of small to medium-sized enterprises spanning various sectors.

Qualifications:
-College Diploma/University degree with an Accounting focus
-3 years full cycle bookkeeping experience, in public or legal accounting
-Must have working knowledge of Sage 50 and Quickbooks (online and desktop)
-Working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word
-Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
-Professional and reliable
-Superb organizational skills with excellent attention to detail
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Ability to work in a team environment and with a diverse client group
-Ability to work with confidential information
-Ability to work overtime to meet client demand as well as during high volume tax season
Job Requirements:
-Daily and monthly recordings of business transactions for preparation of accounting reports
-Provide a variety of bookkeeping duties for a variety of small to medium sized business companies
-Transaction services and preparation of client internal financial statements
-Payroll
-Preparation of T4 and T5 slips
-Accounting software support and training
