Senior Accountant -CPA
Newcart Contracting Ltd. is a leading privately owned business in the oil & gas sector providing all aspects of shutdowns, turnarounds, plant maintenance and bundle/exchanger work. Our company dedicated to the safety of our employees and client satisfcation . We are currently seeking a talented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team and contribute to our continued success.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct financial analysis, forecasting, and budgeting to support decision-making processes.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank statements, general ledgers, and financial reports.
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
- Supervise junior accounting staff and provide guidance as needed.
- Assist in external audits and tax filings.
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in accounting regulations.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role in [industry/sector].
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage, Open Invoice,Fieldcap and very strong in excel
- Strong knowledge of financial services, payroll processes, financial auditing, accounts payable/receivable, and account reconciliation.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
