Job Description
Happy Dad Hard Seltzer is looking for a passionate team member to join our finance and accounting team as an Accounting Associate - Canada. This is an in-office job in our Canadian headquarters in Toronto, Canada. Preferred candidates must have strong experience in both IFRS and US GAAP accounting and financial reporting in the beverage and/or alcohol space. Example of Role and What is Expected:
● Report to Director of Finance
● Maintain the general ledger: set up new accounts and locations and reconcile accounts, including cross-border transactions
● Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures
● Assist in the monthly close process and preparation of financial statements, and support the finance team as needed
● Provide support for annual external audits
● Provide diligence support and a variety of internal analyses for various stakeholders
● Collaborate with vendors, customers, and other stakeholders to collect and analyze key performance metrics
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
● Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting and finance; CPA preferred but not required
● Strong accounting knowledge and usage of IFRS and US GAAP-based accounting
● Experience with inventory accounting and inventory management systems preferred but not required
● Strong data and financial analysis skills using Excel
● Strong attention to detail
● The ability to collect data, define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
● Superior judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
● Strong work ethic and team player
● Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
● The motivation to learn and constantly improve systems, processes, and tools
● Great customer service skills
