Overview
Working closely with our site staff and management team in maintaining tenant accounts (rent rolls and charges) for the respective residential portfolio.
Primary Responsibilities
- up new tenants in accounting system
- first and last month’s rent (LMR) for new tenants
- billing for vacating tenants and apply/refund LMR/security deposits as directed
- and posting of adjusting entries for all residential tenants while ensuring these are in accordance with company policies
- tenants for charge-backs as determined by the Director of Residential Properties and Property Managers
- and follow up of NSF cheques to ensure that relevant staff are promptly advised and appropriate accounting entries are made
- of interest on LMR/security deposits
- of monthly rent rolls for approval and processing
- all notice requirements are met, MTHA and LMHC tenants
- of rent renewal edit list for residential properties
- renewal notices in accordance with guidelines
- with Director of Residential Properties, Property Managers, and administrators for all issues related to the maintenance of tenant leases
- with Director of Residential Properties, those tenant accounts to be sent to collections and follow-up with collection agency until account is closed
- of monthly debit reports and vacancy reports
- bank reconciliations for residential accounts
- of annual T5 – Statement of Investment Income for tenants in accordance with Company policy
- duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 2 years experience within Real Estate Industry, preferably within Property Management space
- oriented with the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
- communication skills with the ability to communicate with individuals at different levels
- player who takes initiative and works well with minimal supervision
- to new technologies/processes
- experience an asset
- experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel
