Job Title: Manager, Valuations

Position Summary
As the Manager, Valuations, you will lead the appraisal and analysis efforts for commercial and mixed-use real estate properties. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of valuation models, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, providing strategic insights to senior management, and effectively managing a team of valuation analysts.
Responsibilities:
The duties and responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead the creation, review, and maintenance of all Argus valuation models and IFRS valuation reports, on a quarterly basis or as needed.
- Coordinate portfolio valuation activities, analyzing NOI and value variances quarter over quarter, and present findings to the team and senior management.
- Coordinate the receipt and review of update leasing, market and development assumptions as well as any new appraisals and other pertinent information in Argus for each property.
- Prepare quarterly valuation, development, and leasing reports as required by the team and management.
- Gather, review, and summarize available market reports related to the economy, real estate industry, and retail real estate industry on a quarterly basis.
- Facilitate asset transfers from PUD to IPP or vice versa by gathering and updating proforma information monthly as required.
- Conduct various analyses and undertake special projects as assigned for senior management.
- Lead and mentor a team of valuation analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to enhance their skills and professional development.
- Oversee workload distribution, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of valuation projects.
- Regularly review publicly available financial information on key tenants and prepare financial summaries.
Academic/Professional Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in real estate, finance or accounting.
- Professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA), or an advanced degree in a related field considered a plus.
Required Skills/Experience:
- 4+ years’ of experience in performing commercial real estate valuations for a large portfolio, with specific expertise in retail and mixed-use portfolios.
- Experience liaising with external real estate appraisers.
- Advanced financial and analytical skills as applied to valuation or development models.
- Detail-oriented individual with a track record of taking ownership and resolving issues effectively.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, particularly in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Extensive experience with Argus Enterprise.
- Highly motivated self-starter who takes initiative and have strong ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- Strong people management skills, a team player with a proven ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization and with external service providers.
- Strong oral and written abilities demonstrated in reports, presentations, and meeting facilitation.
