The responsibilities of the Bookkeeper job opening in Toronto, ON may include, but are not limited to:
- Support the team with various bookkeeping functions while supporting other ad hoc needs
- Full cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions
- Verification of invoices, ensure proper backup documentation and processed in a timely manner
- Follow up on outstanding payments
- Reconcile and post various payment transactions
- Payroll administration including benefits processing and support
- Communicate with customers/vendors via phone and email
- HST/GST/tax remittances
- Corporate and personal tax
- Research and analyze costs associated with office equipment, supplies, services etc.
- Report generation; typing up documents and generating reports
- Support with audits, financial statements and related functions
- Filing paperwork and items to ensure an organized area; mail related duties
- Various related tasks as needed to support a small, dynamic professional office.
The qualifications for the Bookkeeper job opening in Toronto, ON include:
- At least 3-5 years experience in a full-cycle Bookkeeper or Accountant capacity preferably with administrative functions as part of your role; must have some payroll experience
- Completed post-secondary education in Accounting or related field
- Proficient all in MS Office programs and QBO – QuickBooks Online is required
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Team player with a client centric approach
- Strong organization skills and the ability to take initiative and problem solve as second nature
- Flexible, willing, positive, can-do attitude to work in a smaller, close-knit setting
