Job Summary
Our client in Hanover, ON isseeking a detail-oriented and organized temporary Accounting Administrator to join their team on a short term basis. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the smooth operation of accounting processes. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software (Epicor), making it essential for the successful management of accounts payable, account analysis, and reconciliation tasks.
Duties
- Perform account analysis to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and payment scheduling, trouble shooting banking errors and customer discrepancies.
- Manage accounts receivable processes, including receiving and processing customer payments, receivables reporting
- General Ledger duties include reconciliations of accounts, journal entries, month end processes.
- Conduct account reconciliation to verify balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Utilize accounting software for data entry, reporting, and financial analysis.
- Assist in budgeting activities by providing relevant financial data and insights.
- Execute bank reconciliation to ensure all transactions are accounted for accurately.
- Collaborate with the department heads of the management team to support corporate finance initiatives.
- Prepare financial reports as needed to assist management in decision-making.
Skills
- CPA Designation preferred
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools to facilitate efficient financial management. experience working in Epicor would be a great asset
- Strong analytical skills for effective account analysis and reconciliation.
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and practices.
- Familiarity with corporate finance concepts and financial services operations.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accurate records.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong communication skills and Ability to problem solve and work with tight deadlines, with a project management focus. Learn in a fast-paced environment - with attention to improving the learning structure as it evolves in the company.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and ESA Required
