Job Summary:
Busy tax and bookkeeping business looking for professional support year-round, with many opportunities for long-term employment within the business. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with QuickBooks and possess strong analytical skills.

Duties:

Serve as customer-facing support, handling our primary inbox and answering client questions within a 24-hour period.
Assist with client onboarding, booking initial consultation and sending client required forms and documents
Staying up-to-date on all client deadlines
Assist with booking appointments between client and team
Bookkeeping for billable hours
Communication with CRA
Provide research on a case-by-case basis for specific tax situations
Basic data entry
Provide support to CEO as the business grows
Assist with scheduling social media and marketing initiatives

Experience:

Experience in bookkeeping and taxes (minimum 1 year)
Familiarity in Quickbooks Online
Familiarity with Microsoft suite & products
Familiarity with Hubdock and Dext preferred
Private work environment, personal Windows-based computer and high-speed internet a must
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Work is remote, but applicants must be located in Canada. Monday - Friday, 9am -12pm to begin, but hours can be flexible.

Leading candidate will be tech savvy, quick to learn, excellent at communication and comfortable working independently.
