Key Responsibilities

Post monthly journal entries for month-end close
Prepare monthly Accrual schedules
Complete account reconciliations for bank accounts, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), inventory, and other general ledger accounts
Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Support the month-end and year-end close processes
Prepare monthly GST/HST returns
Maintain and update accounting records and files
Assist with pulling documentation to support our annual review external review engagement
Monitor and maintain financial information in accounting systems
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
Review and approve weekly employee time cards
Perform other accounting duties as assigned

Requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree or College diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field
Proficiency in accounting software
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

PREFERRED SKILLS:

Experience with Microsoft Dynamics
Experience in the manufacturing industry
