WellOne Medical Centre is a busy downtown Family Practice and walk-in clinic looking for a Medical Receptionists to become a part of the team.

The clinic operates from 10am to 6pm with 2- 4 physicians per shift .

Responsibilities:

Greeting patients, answering phone calls, callbacks using protocol.
Register new patients and update existing patient information in the system
Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
Answering questions and providing information directly to patients based on knowledge of policies, procedures and regulations.
Scanning and transferring documents and e-faxes in the EMR system (Accuro)
Sorting and forwarding mail and other correspondence
Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
Following up on specialist referrals
Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Calling patients to inform of specialist appointments
Invoicing lawyers and insurance companies and timely sending requested records
Keeping an inventory of the examination rooms & clinic supplies
Maintaining cleanliness of the clinic
Other tasks as required
Required work experience:
Minimum 2-3 years as a Medical Office Admin or Medical Office Receptionist.
Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a medical office or customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records (EMR)
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment

At least one (1) year experience using EMR systems such as Accuro (preferred), or proficiency in another EMR system.
